- Work closely with Employment Partners in US to advise and coach leadership regarding complex and sensitive employee relations matters
- Provide hands-on direction and coaching support to leaders/managers on employee relations issues to ensure consistency in the application of the company’s policies, procedures, and ER best practices
- This is inclusive of but not limited to:
- Investigations
- Recommendations
- Implementation
- Work with Local HR Business Partners to monitor, analyze and determine action plans of ER trends
- Liaise with the HR organization to support and/or lead the alignment of employee engagement activities and performance management initiatives across US (e.g. EXCHANGE, FOCUS Surveys, Optimizing Performance, Exit Interviews)
- Assist in analyzing data
- Provide coaching and training to leaders/managers on how to handle performance issues through early intervention as well as giving feedback
- Actively provide support to leadership on a variety of employment practices issues so that the escalation of issues can be avoided or minimized
- Work in partnership with Legal on governmental charges, proceedings, and lawsuits involving employment practice issues within assigned clients groups
- Develop and deliver training programs (Code of Conduct and Creating A Respectful Workplace, etc.), to leadership and employees increasing capability to create a respectful workplace that is highly ethical, complaint, and consistent with AZ’s values
- Enter all ER data for the area support into the PeopleSoft Database Tracking System
- Work in partnership with HR stakeholders such as HR Business Partners, Comp and Benefits, Legal, Corporate Health Services, and HRIS on continuous improvement of existing policies and procedures
- Work in partnership with assigned Legal Counsel to effectively management ER issues and minimize risk and exposure to the business
- Provide input and support to the Employment Practices Strategy and Action Plans
- May lead or be a member of special project teams
- BS degree in Human Resources or related field
- Professional experience in the area of Employment Practices, Employee Relations or HR Business Partner
- High-level knowledge of employment-related law and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated proactive and collaborative working style
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with little direction
- Ability to respond to competing priorities across the organization and manage several projects simultaneously
- Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities
- Highly developed organization and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to effectively manage change and transition
- HR experience in Pharmaceutical Industry
- Experience managing employee relations in a diverse work environment including an exempt and non-exempt employee population
