- The company has an opportunity for a Contract Recruiter to join their team in Groton/New London supporting the Worldwide Research & Development Division
- The primary function of this position will be to help manage our growing Post-Doctoral Recruitment Program
- As a Recruiter for the company you will be responsible for the full lifecycle recruiting process for the positions approved for the program, which are expected to be located at our various R&D Sites across the U.S.
- You will partner with the designated Recruiting Manager to implement effective recruitment strategies as well as participate in the selection process including assessing candidate applications, screening, interviewing and recommending finalists
- You will be expected to ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements along with company policies
- Learn sourcing techniques from recruiter team in order to build a candidate pipeline for selected positions
- Manage client expectations – provide guidance to line management and set mutually agreed upon expectations regarding the full life cycle recruiting process
- Builds and maintain a competitive intelligence database qualifying and extracting information from multiple sources to create a candidate pipeline for current and future hiring needs
- Strive to increase diverse representation in candidate pools and interview slates
- Conduct phone screen interviews for any site positions as requested by recruiters
- Utilize interview techniques that identify high-potential candidates by applying specific behavioral and situational competency-based, appropriate fit questions for the department
- Reaffirm the company’s values, culture, and opportunities when communicating the offer package to candidates (including compensation, health & welfare benefits, and relocation benefits)
- Enter data into system, ensuring the integrity and timeliness of data entered
- Support site stakeholders on ad hoc recruiting reports that are requested and partner with site Recruiting Manager and Service Center on delivery of core reports
- College Degree or Equivalent Related Work Experience
- Experience recruiting in pharmaceutical or biotech industry is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business support applications
- Minimum of 3 years of corporate recruiting experience or demonstrated equivalent performance level
- Proficiency with recruiting tracking technology, preferably PeopleSoft Recruit
- Demonstrated understanding of the various steps in the recruitment process
- Highly flexible and motivated
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to manage recruiting projects
- Must be able to multi-task, work well under pressure, tight deadlines, and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proven organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), as well as sensitivity for handling confidential information
- Ability to build and manage strong business relationships
