- The candidate will report to a project scientist (R. Fellow) and be expected to do the following functions with initial guidance from the supervisor; but will be expected to work independently in the course of execution of the tasks
- Educational background: BS in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science
- Fresh graduates or candidates with 1-2 years of experience in working in industry in the development of products and materials. Candidate should possess basic polymer background of polyolefins such as polyethylene, Polypropylenes and polyesters. Measuring, Working on polymer properties in college or other industries is a plus.
- Great verbal, written and presentation skills to be able to present their work to a small group of scientists involved in the project
- Ability to set up Design of Experiments in consultations with a immediate supervisor
- Conducting experiments as per plan lay-out on the project
- Testing, evaluating materials and products
- Analyze material properties from point of physical properties such as tensile, compression, stretch and extensibility
- Ability to read and understand patents and their teachings w/initial guidance and later by himself or herself
- Present findings or report to the team on a routine basis in written and presentation format
- Ability to bench work on coating of films and materials
- Attend local plant trials for the purpose of preparing samples and raw materials and conducting testing at their site as and when needed
