Raritan, NJ - Communication Specialist III

Job Description:
The Technology, Shared Services organization is currently recruiting for a full time Communication Specialist to provide communications support for large, internal, global communication programs in Global I/T Quality & Compliance, and to an extent also in Global I/T Operations. The Communication Specialist will report to the Manager, Global I/T Operations and Q&C Communications.

Roles & Responsibilities:
The Communications Specialist will partner with the Global I/T Quality & Compliance organization to:
  • Promote the Global I/T Quality & Compliance value proposition, processes, contact points and strategic and partner projects
  • Provide communication strategy, planning, and support for large scale Global I/T Quality & Compliance programs and projects to key stakeholders including all Johnson & Johnson employees
  • Develop and write all communication deliverables for large scale Global I/T Quality & Compliance programs and projects including email announcements, Intranet Portal articles, FAQs, etc.
  • Manage the day to day activities for the Global I/T Quality & Compliance section of the I/T Intranet Portal using Microsoft SharePoint technology
  • Assist Global Communication Manager with meetings and events, including presentation development, event management and executive support
  • Assist Global Communication Manager with executive communication support
  • The Communications Specialist will also assist the Global Communication Manager and her team with meetings, events, and communication deliverables for the Global I/T Operations organization
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of a BA/BS degree in Communications or a related field is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Communications is required
  • Experience in information technology is not required, but valued
  • Experience with internal communications is required
  • Cross-functional team experience is preferred
  • Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and Microsoft SharePoint is preferred
The Communications Specialist should have the following strengths:
  • A flair for creative writing and turning technical content into compelling story lines
  • Strategic and big picture thinking with an eye for detail
  • An ability to translate strategic messages to a variety of audiences, including senior executives, leadership, I/T partners, and internal employees
  • Good networking skills
