The Janssen PMP division develops, registers and commercializes worldwide new chemical compounds for the protection of plants, wood, paints and other materials from attacks by fungi, algae, bacteria and insects
Job Responsibilities
- Identify and assess new market opportunities for PMP Microbial Control product portfolio (identifying customer needs, market value, competitive landscape, etc.)
- Give input to regional Business Plan
- Realize sales with new and existing business contacts opportunities according to Business Plan
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers and partners
- Responsible for negotiations of commercial conditions with customers in the region
- Work closely with relevant persons in Headquarters to determine and support implementation of defined product strategies
- Experienced Sales person with a background in Chemistry or Biology
- Experience in realizing sales based on defined commercial and marketing strategy for region
- Experience in building relationships and conducting business in diverse cultures
- Experience selling and network established selling chemical ingredients to manufacturers
- Knowledge of EPA and state regulatory systems is a plus
- Willingness to travel 20-30% of the time
- Is a good listener with ability to build and maintain long term relationships
- Is result-driven and holds him/herself accountable for business results
- Is a self-starter and is able to pursue goals independently
- Combines strategic thinking with commercial acumen flair
- Demonstrates creative, solution-oriented problem-solving skills
- Team player with strong communication and influencing skills
- Acts with integrity and promotes ethical conduct
- Maintains business focus holistic view on a day to day business
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
