- Manage physical collection and electronic database of contemporary and historical photographs and other graphics owned by the company
- Maintain subject releases for photos, whenever relevant
- Assist members of the media seeking photographs or video for print, television, video, and internet use
- Work with graphic designers, filmmakers, web designers, publishers, and writers seeking images for a variety of internal and external communications and marketing projects
- Assist users of the online version of the company’s Photo Archive
- Work with the company’s Legal to obtain permissions for use of an image by outside parties, as appropriate
- Receive new images and upload image files to online database; append relevant, searchable text data to these files
- Select and purchase images from stock agencies as needed
- Act as liaison between photographers and project managers who commission photography for a specific use, as needed: book photographers; schedule Studio shoots; relay resulting images from photographer to appropriate colleagues
- Assist colleagues who need help utilizing photos/placing them in communications pieces in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Create a weekly compilation of all the company’s stories using InDesign; send PDF version to Board Relations for distribution to BoD
- Work with outside photo lab to create prints, scans, etc., for colleagues as needed
- Work with outside video lab to duplicate or reformat videos for colleagues as needed
- Scan photographs as needed
- Undergraduate Degree Required
- Candidate should have extensive knowledge of photo file formats and functionalities and a basic knowledge of video formats
- Candidate should be familiar with traditional photo media (negatives, prints, 35 mm slides, transparencies, internegs) and moderately experienced in handling/working with them
- Database management
- Using FTP sites to send and retrieve data
- The Microsoft Office Suite
- Adobe PhotoShop
- Adobe Acrobat Professional
- Adobe InDesign
