Job Description:

• The Configuration Management Engineer will administer existing CC/CQ systems in multiple code management environments (development through production), provide development and design expertise for enhancements to the CC and CQ systems, and perform design and development tasks to deliver those enhancements to the program in a small, integrated team of CM professionals

AC2 Project Description

• The company is undertaking the Advanced Control Center (AC2) initiative to ensure that the company has an appropriate posture with regard to business continuity and resiliency
• The AC2 initiative contemplates the siting, design and construction of an Advanced Control Center that will incorporate a new design for the company’s mission-critical information systems and business processes and incorporate open, secure and shared information system architectures
• The AC2 Program plan will take into account geographic diversity, environmental considerations, physical and logical security, physical access to and protection of telecommunication and information systems
• The AC² Program is designed to provide maximum availability by utilizing two control centers that may operate in conjunction with one another or as isolated systems
• Either control center will be capable of performing current and future Markets functions and Real-time operations
• Ultimately, the purpose of AC² is to provide uninterrupted operations between the AC² and AC1 control centers for System Operations and Market Systems functions

Job Responsibilities:

• Engage the user community to understand the requirements that must be met in their development environment which may affect the implementation of ClearCase/ClearQuest
• Build out environments to match the gathered requirements and train end users on the proper usage of such environments

Secondary Roles:

• General supplement to the development / implementation work being done by current team in the areas of Q/CC/BF
• Bug fixing & general scripting work as needed
• Assist with BuildForge should the mgmt of that product require additional resource due to the potentially exponential increase in demand

REQUIREMENTS:

• To excel, the Configuration Management Engineer must be detail oriented and possess the ability to work effectively with application developers, system administrators, project managers, quality assurance personnel, and external partners to effectively understand and produce system enhancements to meet the program’s CM & release engineering needs
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 5+ years of relevant experience
• Senior level Rational Tools expert (specifically ClearCase & ClearQuest; BuildForge is nice to have)
• Senior level administration of an interop ClearCase infrastructure
• Base ClearCase as well as UCM
• Strong understanding of ClearCase metadata
• Onboarding of projects & teams
• End user support for CC & CQ
• Experience integrating ClearCase/ClearQuest with various IDEs such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, and Maven
• Proficient with the following Perl & UNIX – highly proficient; significant experience an absolute must
• With automation; i.e., has automated processes before and is capable of conceptualizing how one might automate a process

Preferred Skills:

• Junior level admin experience with HP Quality Center
• Any .NET programming experience
• Java development experience
